About this YouTube Downloader
Nestvedia’s YouTube Downloader helps you archive lectures, tutorials, and public uploads when you need offline access. Paste a standard YouTube watch URL or a youtu.be short link, confirm the title in the preview, then save the file. The page is designed for phones first—most people copy a link from the YouTube app and finish the save in mobile Safari or Chrome.

What you can download
Standard videos
Public watch-page videos (youtube.com/watch?v=…) are the primary format. Nestvedia reads the public stream metadata and prepares a downloadable file.
Short links (youtu.be)
Creator-shared youtu.be URLs work the same as full watch links once they resolve to a public video ID.
YouTube Shorts
Public Shorts can be downloaded when the Shorts URL is accessible without login. Vertical framing is preserved in the saved file when available.
Unlisted vs private
Unlisted videos may work if you have the exact link and it is not age- or login-gated. Private videos are not supported.

How to download a YouTube video with Nestvedia

Open the YouTube video
Play the video in the YouTube app or on youtube.com so you know it is publicly viewable.

Copy the URL
On mobile, tap Share → Copy link. On desktop, copy the address bar URL or use Share → Copy link. Shorts have a Share button under the player as well.

Paste on Nestvedia
Paste into the YouTube Downloader field and tap Get Video to load title and preview details.

Download and save offline
Run Download Video, wait until the progress bar shows ready, then tap Save Video to store the file.
Help
Common issues & troubleshooting
Age-restricted videos
Clips that require signing in to confirm age usually cannot be fetched anonymously.
Members-only or paid content
Channel-member videos and purchases are blocked. Use only free public uploads.
Live broadcasts
Active live streams are not supported. Download after the premiere or archive is published as a normal video.
Copyright takedowns
If YouTube removed the video, the link will fail. There is no way to recover deleted uploads.
Playlist links
Paste a single video URL, not a playlist page. Open the specific video first, then copy its link.
